I actually had these conversations with people.
Me: I really need to do something crazy to get inspired. Like chop off my hair or go skydiving or something.
A: Want to spray paint random stuff with me?
Me: You just have random spray paint cans to spray paint random things with?
A: Yeah, and I have some old poster paper I want to spray paint.
Professor: How did you like today’s lecture?
Me: It was pretty depressing [we talked about foot binding and female subjugation in post-colonial China]
Professor: Yeah, it’s going to get even more depressing.
Me: I think for my paper I’m going to write about the various mental health issues the youth of Japan and China face today because of this historical stuff.
Professor: Oh good, you’ll have a lot to write about.
